Party Starters perform at up to 70 weddings every year. We know how important your evening is to your most memorable day, which is why we do everything possible to make the planning as easy and stress free as we can and making it a night to remember for you and your guests!

Standard Wedding Services

Our standard services include:

  • Arrive from 5pm.
  • Set up by 6:30pm.
  • Perform your first dance at request from our first dance repertoire. We are also happy to learn a new song when possible.
  • 2 x 60 minute or 3 x 40 minute sets of live party music until midnight.
  • Background music before, after and between live sets.
  • Professional quality PA system and lighting rig suitable for up to 250 people.

 

Special Wedding Upgrade Options

We also offer the following additional upgrade options:

  • Early arrival/late finishes available.
  • 1 x 40 minute acoustic set with duo, trio or full band line up.
  • DJ service ran by one of the band.
  • Live walk on music for awards ceremonies.

Questions Or Concerns


Once you’ve decided we’re the right band for you, you can rest assured that your entertainment is in good hands. We’ll be in touch around 3 weeks before the big day to finalise the details, timings, song choices and any other queries you may have. In the run up to your event, you’ll have a dedicated event coordinator from our agency Alive Network who will be more than happy to liaise with you on any issues, questions or concerns.

What We'll Do At Your Wedding


Arrival, Set Up & Soundcheck

A typical wedding gig of Party Starters is a prompt arrival (usually between 5pm – 6pm), load in equipment, set up and sound check quickly and discreetly as possible. This can take up 90 minutes.


After Set Up

Once we’re set up, we will put on background party music through the PA system and change into our stage clothes. You will need to arrange with the venue a suitable place to use as a secure changing room (not the toilets) and your catering to provide us with a hot meal and soft drinks/tea/coffee. This is standard for all bookings with any function band. If timings are tight before the first set we can eat in between sets.


1st Dance

Your first dance is something we want you to remember and are more than happy to perform a song from a first dance repertoire or learn something for you when possible. When we can’t perform your first dance we can organise the original song to be played over our PA system. We recommend having the first dance just before our first set.

1st Live Set

Although timings are discussed during the 3 week call we know things can often run late on the day and will liaise with you or your events manager to confirm the timing of the 1st live set. Afterwards we will play background party music before the 2nd live set.


2nd Live Set & End Of The Night

After the end of our 2nd live set we will continue to provide background music until midnight (or later if selected from the upgrade options). We recommend ending the final set 15 minutes before the end of the night as ending on the band with the house lights coming on can seem very abrupt. At the end of the night we will pack down and load out as quickly and discretely as possible.
